I created Foam from a sense of calm and the need to talk to myself about the things that matter to me. It’s a journey through my subconscious, my childhood, and things I’m not able to talk about either subtly or explicitly.
I created this world of tempera and colored pencils to explain myself and convince myself that there is a way out of the darkness and that mental problems do not define who we are, just a part of us.
I am also convinced that if along the way I help someone feel identified or less alone, my art will have paid off 100%, and over time I have learned that many more people than we think appreciate the kind words we have to say about our own feelings.
