The Red Book of Cornelius

Tomás Lillo Ortiz

Project year:

Final Project

Finally all of Cornelius in a coffee table edition!

A visual anthology with more than 500 pages in full color, with the best comics, jokes and laughs and unpublished material.

Co-edited by Apa Apa Cómics, Blackie Books and the Cornelius Comics Club, El Libro Rojo de Cornelius is the result of gathering the graphic work of Marc Torices around Cornelius and soaking up his aesthetics. Cornelius is an eternal loser, deserving of pity, but who ends up proving to be a coward. We find echoes of Chris Ware, Schulz, Winsor McCay, Nick Drnaso, Olivier Schrauwen, Matt Furie, Bruguera, TBO, Roberto Bolaño and the most current underground comics scene.

The project includes a promotional calendar, in risography, a screen printed booklet and packaging.

No one should miss this carefully curated exclusive edition of 100 copies that comes out between the first and second editions of La Alegre Vida del Triste Perro Cornelius (Apa Apa Cómics 2023). One of the most anticipated books of recent years and which will soon be published by Actes Sud and Drawn & Quarterly.
