The "Antonio Faílde" School of Art and Design in Ourense is a public school that depends on the Ministry of Education of the Xunta de Galicia.

Our educational offer includes a wide number of specialties that we teach through training cycles and the so-called higher studies of Design, which are, for all intents and purposes, equivalent to a university degree.

All our qualifications are of an official nature and enable you to take advantage of the scholarship system offered by the educational legislation.

Our common project aims to create a relationship space where to teach and promote the culture of design through its different specialties.

We understand design as a powerful means to help solve the human problems of the social reality in which it is inscribed.

To materialize our principles we rely on multidisciplinary education, project culture and a firm commitment to lifelong innovation.

The current and definitive headquarters of the EASD "Antonio Failde" is located in a contemporary building, designed to respond functionally to the requirements of the specialties that make up our educational project.

Thus, in addition to the theoretical classrooms, the center has workshops aimed at practical training, equipped with specific technologies in communication, prototyping, photography or editing, among others.

Likewise, the school has an open access library, function room and cafeteria where students can stay for lunch when the class schedule so advises.

In Galicia, in the northwest of Spain, is the city of Ourense, always looking at the banks of the river Miño.

The city, which is part of the pilgrims' route to Santiago de Compostela, has an important Romanesque heritage, present in its bridges and architecture, as well as abundant hot springs that made it famous.

Today, Ourense is a capital in full projection abroad through industries such as fashion (Adolfo Domínguez, Roberto Verino, Purificación García…), gastronomy and design, which place their products anywhere in the world.

The school headquarters is based on a natural context surrounded by green and wooded spaces. A peaceful environment where you can develop training and receive the evocative expression of nature.

In the vicinity of the school there is a sports complex enabled for the practice of numerous activities (football, hockey, badminton…) along with a large student residence that hosts some of our national and international students.
