In music, counterpoint is the play of voices that, with independence and their own meaning, together create harmonic relationships with each other.
The “CONTRAPUNTO” furniture brings together concepts that, although they may seem opposite at first, form a harmonious whole: function-aesthetics; matter-dematerialization; light-darkness; immobility-dynamism.
Conceived from a rectangular volume, a pure and simple geometry, it is divided into two parts forming a vertex that leaves a gap between them, dematerializing and allowing the entry of light in contrast to the darkness of the interior space.
The structure is made of maple wood, and is topped with a central line of arrow-shaped modular elements in walnut and cherry. Alternating, they start from one side and run along the surface to the opposite side, giving the feeling of movement. This inlay breaks with the rigidity of the initial conception of the piece of furniture.
The legs keep that arrow shape, accompanying the dynamism of the taracea.
Its function will be to store small objects inside, acting as a table or auxiliary furniture for a private room.
