INTEGRAL RECOVERY OF BUILDING FOR EXHIBITION SPACE
Both design and art are two disciplines that have always existed, both with a close relationship with each other and with certain needs such as expressing feelings, emotions, telling a story, being interpreted when observed or considered a reflection of culture and how people understand the world. The conclusion of this is that everything that is created begins with an idea, a sketch, a random stroke that builds a final element that is going to be experienced by someone.
Based on this concept, a center for art is created, in which the main idea is to use the image of the sketch as a configurative element of the entire interior space of the building so that all the aspects raised for the project are linked:
JOINING ART AND DESIGN
All works of art and design start from the same origin and thought, which are materialized through an intermediate process based on studies and drawings that lead to the last idea that will be carried out.
JOINING DESIGN AND ART IN A TANGIBLE ENVIRONMENT
The design of the space for an art center must be related to what is going to happen there, so the sketch is again that connecting link, constituting a perceptible element, in this case a staircase, which articulates the entire space and indirectly links all the activities that take place in the building: exhibitions, art workshops… etc.
The result of these premises is a building understood as a conceptual, spatial and functional whole, in which from the moment everything is accessed it is linked and leads to be experienced in its entirety.
