Date: Tuesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Place: EASD Antonio Faílde.

Xurxo was born one day in a small village in Ourense. During his childhood he took care of a flock of sheep, hunted crickets and spent days looking for things he never found. Against all odds, he stumbled upon the Antonio Failde Art School. He spent practically his entire youth there. Among many other things, they taught him how to cut patent paper, steal magazines from paper containers and make cameras out of shoe boxes. When he finished his studies in Design and Advertising Graphics, he emigrated in search of work to A Coruña, Vigo and Lalín. He returned to Ourense and spent 12 long years at Adolfo Dominguez, where he made catalogs, books, invitations, posters, furniture and redesigned the entire brand identity before leaving. Since 2018, he has been working on his own for various projects and clients.

He received a scholarship in a competition by the IED to study in Madrid, but it was not.

He spoke at conferences such as Madinspain or Blanc.

He returned at the age of 40 to complete his design degree and upon finishing it, he started working as a cabinetmaker.
