Filmmaker and teacher. El cielo gira (2005), her first feature film, shot in her hometown, Aldealseñor (Soria), won numerous international awards such as the Tiger Award at the Rotterdam Festival, First Prize Cinema du Reel in Paris, First Infinity Prize in Alba (Italy) or the Fipresci International Critics, Jury, Audience and Best Film at the Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival, and was also widely recognized in Spain with awards such as breakthrough film and best editing from the Circle of Cinematographers, best new direction and best documentary direction from the Spanish Film Directors Assembly (ADIRCE) and the Ojo Crítico de Cinema Award from Radio Nacional de España.
The film was distributed in France, Portugal, Holland, Latin America, the USA, etc. and was shown in more than 30 countries.
In 2008 he began making the feature film Mercado de futuros , selected by numerous film festivals: Rotterdam Film Festival, MIFF Melbourne International Film Festival, Guadalajara International Film Festival, etc. He won the Novas Miradas Award, Visions du Réel in Nyon (Switzerland), Special Mention at the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), Navaja de Buñuel Award for Spanish Version of RTVE, Best Documentary at the Nantes Spanish Film Festival.
In 2013, she was chosen to participate in the Venice Biennale alongside Françés Torres in the Catalan Pavilion with the work “ 25% Catalonia at Venice ”. This work was exhibited in 2014 at the Palau A Virreina in Barcelona.
In 2023 he created the audiovisual work, Installation: “ Escriure en el Temps ” for the Dues pedres exhibition. Persistent Landscapes (Palau Robert), produced by the Observatori do Paisatge de Catalunya on behalf of the Palau Robert.
In 2024, she was the filmmaker invited to perform the opening audiovisual piece at the exhibition on Agnès Varda at the Center for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona with the audiovisual piece " Agnès Varda, los lados del espejo ", 2024.
In her teaching work, she is a professor of the “ Master in Creative Documentary ” UPF in Barcelona. She has curated retrospectives of filmmakers and given seminars at different universities, museums, and national and international festivals, such as La Casa Encendida in Madrid, CGAI in A Coruña, Centro de Cultura Contemporánea in Barcelona, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Master of Arts at the University of Cuenca, Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. She has also given lectures at different international universities, such as Princeton University, Porto, Marseille, Colegio de España in Paris, Colege de France in Rome, etc.
