Brais Lorenzo Couto studied photography at EASD Antonio Faílde and has been working as a photojournalist in Ourense for several years, currently at the EFE agency. He has just received the Ortega e Gasset journalism prize for the best photograph, the most prestigious award in the country, for the image entitled "Anniversary". It shows Elena Pérez celebrating her 98th birthday in a nursing home in Ourense.

The 2019 school yearbook has already published several works by Brais Lorenzo, including a well-known photograph about the fires in Galicia.
