Photography · Process in time

The renowned photographer from Navarre will show his images and propose some reflections on the restitution of time, something that massification and trivialization are taking away from photography.

Carlos Cánovas (Albacete, 1951) is a photographer with a long and recognized career. He is the author of books such as "En el tiempo", "Paisajes fugaces" or "Deriva de la ría: paisaje sin retorno". Linked to Navarre since its birth, it was awarded the Prince of Viana Culture Award in 2020. Professor of photography between 2000 and 2015 at the Public University of Navarra, he has also published several essays on the history of photography. He was a member of the Navarro Cultural Council and adviser to the MAC collection (A Coruña). He has held many individual and collective exhibitions and his photographic work is present in the main art collections: MNCARS Reina Sofía, Museo de Navarra, Ifema, Colección Telefónica, IVAM or the National Library of Paris.
