Date: Wednesday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m.

Place: Auditorium of the EASD Antonio Faílde.

On Wednesday, March 16, in the EASD António Faílde conference room at 12:00 p.m. we will again have the privilege of attending a masterful lecture by the graphic designer dean par excellence of Galicia. This time with an exciting and little-known story about design, science, business and national identity in difficult times.

Why does one of the most important companies in Galicia, one of the few listed on the stock exchange, have as a symbol of identity a triscelium, and as a name Zeltia, which refer to a mythical past of our country?

The explanation, profusely illustrated, is almost a novel of intrigue in which history, culture, politics, science and the life of two protagonist brothers are mixed: the author of the name and logo and the author of the symbol.

first foot From Céltiga to Zeltia: 1936, Ramiro Isla Couto fleeing certain death.

second foot A man running. 1932, Xaime Isla Couto, an activist in Ultreia.

third foot Celtic Brotherhood 1939, meeting in Porriño.
