Opening date: Monday April 24 at 11:30am.

Place: Entrance hall of EASD Antonio Faílde.

David Diz Borrajo has been a tattoo artist for 15 years. He started with master Nortes at Tatuaxes Costa Oeste in Vigo and these days marks 10 years of his own Secret Bridge Tattoo studio in Ourense. In addition to doing tattoos, he is very involved in the Galician underground music scene, participating in the editing of records, organizing numerous concerts and vinyl music downloads.

In 2016 he launched the tatto flash publishing project "The old way book" together with tattoo artists Cardin de Gijon, Kuru de Barcelona, Sergio G. de Valladolid and Gonzalo M. de León. This first edition sold out very early and was reissued in 2020 alongside the 2nd volume in the series. Right now they are already working on the 3rd volume.

He is also part of the group of tattoo artists "F/S" that meets once a year and organizes an exhibition of original independent sheets in different European locations.

David considers tattooing as a profession in which the important thing is to get the client to get the tattoo they are looking for, whatever style it is, although the one he enjoys the most, and to which he spends the most time, is the traditional American style.

In his designs and paintings he tries to introduce elements that are part of his everyday life, such as underground subcultures, vinyl records of punk rock, reggae, soul, Latin... and also elements of the popular culture of his place of origin.

David will be accompanied in this lecture by Simón Seoane, graduate in Fine Arts and former student of the EASD Antonio Faílde of higher studies in graphic design. He has been a tattoo artist since 2017 and joined Secret Bridge Tatoo in October 2021.
