Francisco Fra Rico (1965 San Cibrao-Mariña Lucense) is the seventh generation of a family of shore carpenters that dates back to 1806. He studies FP2 in the metal branch, but he feels passion for wooden boats and learns the trade of shore carpenter from his father and uncle, with whom he spent many hours from a young age in the shipyard where, after finishing his studies, he continued to participate in the construction of fishing boats, small boats, repairs, reproductions for museums, as well as other types of work. In recent years, the shipyard has been open for guided tours, conferences, riverside carpentry courses, etc. are organized. It has been part of the Galician association of riverside carpenters (AGALCARI) since its creation.
