The conservation of cultural assets, for their survival and enjoyment by future generations, is a responsibility shared by various actors: the professionals and institutions linked in various ways to heritage, who work directly on the assets; the governments and administrations, which legislate and regulate their protection and the actions that can be executed; and ultimately the same civil society, which must be aware of the importance of that preservation to know its history, as well as attend to avoid its destruction.

The movable heritage, defined and regulated in various legal texts, must be submitted, in order to achieve its conservation, to a series of actions, carried out by restorers following basic criteria, established by various institutions and unanimously accepted.

After the previous study of the property, its history and the environment that surrounds it, preventive conservation interventions will first be carried out, on the conditions of its surroundings. Once these have been stabilized and controlled, restoration will be carried out on the same asset, if necessary, in a respectful manner, and acting only in those aspects necessary to achieve its preservation and understanding.
