Date: Wednesday, April 2 at 5:00 p.m.
Place: EASD Antonio Faílde.
Cadela Negra is a collective formed by Antonio Cortés and Lois Cid. They began working as a duo after an artistic residency, faced with the need to move away from the individuality of contemporary photographic production, and seeking to bring together their different experiences and visions within the photographic medium.
Antonio Cortés worked as a photojournalist for Voz de Galicia. He is a senior technician in Artistic Photography from EASD Antonio Failde and is also a technician in the Photography Laboratory from EASD Mestre Mateo. He participated in Ricardo Cases' fotozity in 2012 in A Coruña and remained active recording pagan and religious rites in Galicia.
Lois Cid, on the other hand, obtained a master's degree in photography from the Royal Academy of Antwerp, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Castilla-La Mancha and is also a photography technician from EASD Antonio Failde. She has participated in exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, such as the Encontros da Imagem festival (Braga, Portugal), the Grosvenor Gallery (Manchester, United Kingdom), the XPO space (Enschede, Netherlands), the FOMU photography museum (Antwerp, Belgium) and the Dispara Gallery (A Estrada, Pontevedra), among others.
